Further to your advertisement in the Manchester Evening News last week, I would like to apply for the position of quantity surveyor at your Leeds office.

I have been employed as a quantity surveyor at my present employers since gaining my degree four years ago.   I have some experience in developing a mechanical and electrical department, although this is only planned to be a small division with my current employer.

I would welcome the opportunity to further enhance my knowledge in this field within a larger organisation.  I thoroughly enjoy the challenges involved, and am sure that working for your company which is highly regarded, will be a fantastic opportunity for me.
