Travel and Tourism Personal Statement Example

If you have done a degree in Travel and Tourism you will no doubt have a keen interest in travelling in your country of origin as well as abroad. A degree in this area opens up a multitude of roles from working in hotels, to working in a different country, the tourist board, advising people about holidays and travel, looking into places of interest and places to go in certain countries or locations.

An employer will be looking to find out what area of specialism you are looking to go into. What made you decide to do a degree in travel and tourism and what do you enjoy learning about different countries and places?

I am a keen traveller who wanted to pursue travel as part of my career so was very pleased to graduate in Travel and Tourism and be able to use my passion and what I have learnt in a good way to help others.

I have always enjoyed travelling to different places and exploring along the way. I like to discover new restaurants, hotels, places of interest, beaches etc for others and give them an idea of what they are like and how much I would recommend them.
I have excellent researching skills and I am self motivated. I am eager to visit new places and will work hard in my career choice to provide help to people when booking their holidays and travelling to new destinations.

Veterinary Personal Statement Example

If you are looking to work in Veterinary then you will have studied for 5-7 years to become a Vet and gained some work experience through the process. Yow will have a keen interest in animals and normally Vets decide whether they have a preference over small or large animals which they like to work with but qualify to work on all animals.  You could also train to work as a Vet nurse and support a Vet in practice, assisting in operations, dealing with medication and the running of a veterinary practice.

You will need to be hands on be able to work in a physically demanding role if you work with large animals in particular and you will need to be able to keep calm under pressure and work following strict rules and procedures with confidentiality such as a doctors practice.

An employer will be looking to make sure that you have excellent communication skills and able to work closely with your clients who depending on what size animals you work with either come to a practice or you will be out on the road a lot more attending client sites such as farms and equestrian centres.
