Cover Letter: Journalist
Dear Sir/Madam,
Application for the role of Journalist
I have recently seen your advert for a Journalist with your newspaper and I would be very interested in applying for this role. I have had previous experience of working for a small local magazine and ensuring that stories I researched were newsworthy and printed and I am now seeking a new role that I can get my teeth into.
I have always had a mind that questions things and feel that this is what makes me a good journalist. At college/university I did a journalism element doing (explain what, if this is true) and this has confirmed that this is the role I want to do as my career choice.
I am very hard working and persistent and I like to make sure I get my facts correct and enjoy then seeing my article published.
I am very organised and dedicated and I am now seeking a long term career and have enclosed my CV for you to look at my experience in detail.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me and I will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely
