Learnist CareersParticipant
i had an interview with b&q 2 years ago amd im sure everything is pretty same!
we had a group interview and i think they do that when they have more candidates than 5-6 (this is only my opinion).
just like any other group interview you will do some tasks and interviewer will watch you!
and if they think you did well then you will also have a one to one interview.
they will ask you typical interview questions and let known about salary, hours etc.
Learnist CareersParticipantAnother McDonalds interview thread has been started – http://forums.learnist.org/caterer-jobs/mcdonals-interview-questions/
Learnist CareersParticipantand
Why do you want to work for Greggs?
What makes you best person for this job?
Learnist CareersParticipantI have seen some good answers from wikijob:
What do you think about the food industry?
What has made Kerry’s successful? and What have they not done well? so you would better make a reserach on internet. you should visit their official website for that information.
Describe a time when you have communicated effectively with people? Why do you think it was effective? What did you do well that facilitated the communication..
What about Kerry’s values makes it the right place for you? Why do you want to work for Kerry’s?
Why your chosen field? and Which other places have you applied to?
Describe a time when you have taught somebody or people and how this made you feel?
Describe a time when you have had a challenging course or project?
Good luck guys, please let us know if you know more about Kerry’s interview.

Learnist CareersParticipantphoto on the cv can be discriminative so i wouldn’t recommend it.
Learnist CareersParticipantI never heard of nissan interviews but i would recommend you to start reading about general interview questions and answers.
– Why should we hire you?
– Why do you want to work for Nissan?
– Give some examples of teamwork
– Tell me about yourself
And rest of the interview questions and answers
Learnist CareersParticipantIt shouldn’t be too difficult to answer their questions but to be honest, i don’t know much about product demo thingy.
Why should we hire you?
Tell me about yourself!
Give some example sof teamwork
And try to answer this one:
What a phone is to someone who has never seen a phone or doesn’t know what it is!
I hope someone will help us with the Carphone Warehouse telephone interview and the product demo…
Learnist CareersParticipantYou say that the only way to find work is to start by claiming job seekers allowance – I find this statement ridiculous. You can actively search for jobs without necessarily claiming for benefits.
However, you can receive a lot of helpful advice and information from your local Job Centre, as well as assistance with training to get you started at work and I would strongly recommend that you visit.
You can apply to receive JSA if you have the right to live and work in the UK, this is all the information you need to submit your application for JSA. They will tell you what is required in order for your payments to continue including actively searching for work and attending your interviews and appointments with the JobCentre.
Learnist CareersParticipantWorking at Asda
Working here is great fun and we have a real family atmosphere. However we also work hard to make sure our customers always leave us smiling and that they get everything they want when they visit us. This can often be physically tiring and you’ll be on your feet throughout most shifts. The work in most departments does involve some heavy lifting – even on the checkouts. It’s cold in the freezers as you’d expect and also very hot in the bakeries! That’s why we came up with our ‘Have-a-Go’ approach, which aims to let you experience what it’s really like to work here before you make any commitment. Why is it called Asda Magic?
An Asda Magic selection event is the best way of finding out what working at Asda is really like. We’ll give you an honest, ‘as-it-really-is’ insight into our culture, our business and the role you’re applying for. You’ll have the chance to meet some of our colleagues, to see how they work and ask any questions that you might have, so you’ll fully understand what it’s like here before you even start. You’ll attend Asda Magic along with other potential candidates, but you won’t be competing with anyone – it’s more about whether you’re the right fit for Asda.
So, what will it involve?
During the event there will be:- Some interesting team challenges
- A short interview
- A tour of the building – what we call a Whistle Stop tour of the store, where you will get the chance to see ‘Behind the scenes’
- Insight into Asda and the roles we offer
- A chance to “Have a Go”
Getting to ‘Have-a-Go’ yourself
As we’ve mentioned above, we like all of our candidates to get a real feel for the job they’re applying for before they start so for about half an hour you get the chance to ‘Have-a-Go’ at the job to get a feel for what it’s like. You’ll work alongside one of our colleagues who’ll show you how some of their job is done. This may include real tasks such as:- Operating the checkouts
- Talking to customers
- Walking around the store looking for products
- Rotating and filling shelves
- Filling out questionnaires and checklists
Some of these tasks will involve moving around the store, as well as some physical activity such as lifting, twisting, pulling and carrying. We obviously want to make your experience on the day as enjoyable as possible, so if there is anything that you feel we need to know about that might cause difficulties for you in carrying out any of the “Have a Go” activities we have mentioned above, then please let us know in advance and we will do what we can to assist you. To do this please contact the store(s) to which you applied. You can find their contact details on our store site: storelocator.asda.com
As the selection event is practical, you’ll need to come dressed appropriately wearing something smart but casual (no trainers please). We understand you’ll want to make the right impression but obviously as you’ll be getting involved on the shop floor please don’t wear anything too formal.
