Last updated : 28 August 2014
What would anyone advise if someone cannot get a job at all, having never had a job? Is it best to just keep trying, look for education opportunities, start a business or give up?
Never give up! However, you should think about why you are not getting a job. If you think it is because you do not have the right qualifications then it could be worth thinking about getting more. Find out what you can do to get more, whether you can get funding while studying and then consider whether this is a good option for you. If lack of work experience is the problem then consider doing some voluntary work in the field that you would like to go in to so that you get some. Even a few hours a day or a day a week for a month, could make a huge difference to your chances of getting a job.
