I have been asked this questions a lot through Learnist.org comments and I wanted to reply this question here about a Saturday job.
You need to be at least 14 years old to work and the school head master should give permission him / her to work.
To be honest not many employer would want to hire a kid due to insurance and other things.
I agree, most employers can only take on employees aged 16 or over. However, two of my former colleagues got employed at the age of 15 after obtaining a permit from the local council. Younger than 16, I’d recommend doing ‘odd jobs’ for friends and family, rather than pursuing formal employment.
