Waitrose is set to take over the troubled Somerfield store at Anchor Springs, Littlehampton, Sussex.
The move is programmed to occur in July with the supermarket’s re-opening as a Waitrose store at the beginning of August. About 50 job vacancies will be created as a result of the change over. The existing workforce’s jobs will not be adversely affected by the Anchor Springs store’s transfer.
