Travelodge, the tourism company, is building 88 – bedroom hotel on Victoria Street, Fairfields, Basingstoke, Hampshire which will create 30 job vacancies.

Travelodge are proposing to build an 88-bedroom hotel on Victoria Street, Fairfields, Basingstoke, Hampshire.

The company has submitted an application to demolish the old Barclays House and build a five-storey motel in its place. The ground floor will be set aside for an unspecified retail business. 30 job vacancies will be created by Travelodge.

A decision on the planning application is expected by early Autumn.
