Many people who do jobs in IT seem to have to relocate in order to find work. Is this always the case?
Travelling for a job, is certainly not restricted to IT work. There are many people that either commute each day or relocate completely because they want to do a particular job. If there is a specific role that you are after, then you may need to be more flexible with location than if you are less fussy about what you do.
The chances of having to relocate will also depend on where you live and whether you live near to a place that has a lot of opportunities for someone with your skills.
It is very rare in the modern world that somebody will be able to find their dream job on their doorstep. The best thing to do is to weigh up all of your options, see what is possible, and imagine what your life would be like if you make various choices. You may find that living in another area would improve your life, so never say never.
