It is very important to wear right dress and have a proper outlook at the time of job interview, because first impression is the last impression. We do not get second chance to present ourselves. The interviewer makes first judgment on the basis of a person’s physical appearance only. Interview room is the place where you sell yourself. If you succeed, company will buy you, otherwise not.
There are some tips to improve on both the points:
• The outlook should be neat &tidy. Your physical appearance should replicate the amount of sincerity required for the particular job. Trouser below the hip line will not look professional at all.
• The attire should be formal & complete.
• Please avoid wearing very tight fitting & transparent clothes as it will create a bad impression on the interviewer
• All the interview clothes should be neat, tidy & properly ironed.
• Always use a portfolio instead of big bags. Do not use canvas or big jute bags, instead use a small briefcase.
• Do not use sunglasses as it looks messy at the time of interview. Just imagine yourself with sunglasses on your head while giving your interview
• Outlooks include not only dress as well as attitude, public speaking & overall personality of an individual. If a person is properly dressed, but if he speaks foolish things, it will hamper the entire scenario.
• Keep yourself fully charged at the time of interview. Feeling sleepy & yawning will be harmful.
• Always wear a smart & professional watch. Bejeweled or stylish watch will not create a good impression.

For example, a job for Abercrombie & Fitch will expect excellent taste and style, but a job as senior accountant will command a much more professional look.

I wouldnt say a suit was always needed, so long as you have a smart skirt and blouse and a jacket for women, or trousers and shirt and tie and jacket for a man. Agree with no loud colours on the blouse/shirt and certainly no funny or festive ties!
