Is it necessary to be completely honest on an application form? If I miss information out will that be a problem?
It is never a good idea to tell lies. However, whether you miss out information is a more difficult matter. If you are asked something directly, then it is wise to not miss out information about it as it is obviously very relevant to the job. However, if you are not asked too directly, then it can be good to skim over unfavourable things.
