These figures are depending on the company you work for and experience you have. Some companies offer other benefits such as commissions, staff discounts, uniform, staff meal etc.
You can see the salary information on the job advert that Employers are listing.
Sales Assistants would usually work 35-40 hours including weekend, evenings and Bank holidays. You are not only responsible for the sales but you will also make sure the look of store, stocks and sometimes do the cashier jobs.
Customer services skills are essential for this job. Companies will still employ you even if you don’t have experience however having experience in sales will be a reason for employers to choose you among the other applicants.

What is your salary?
Good luck.
The salary for a sales assistant will depend a great deal on where you work. In my local area, you can earn anything from £6.50 an hour to £10 an hour just from the shops on the high street, so there’s nothing to say that you will definitely get a low wage. You might also find that you’re able to get small amounts of commission as well, which should help you. But on the whole it is so variable that you would be better asking companies directly what they pay if you are interested in working for them.
