Sainsbury’s are due to open their new Penrith store on Wednesday, 9th November, creating 250 new jobs for the local community.
The new 3,300 square meter store is part of the £80 million New Squares regeneration scheme.
Sainsbury’s have guidelines to ensure that local people living around the store benefit from the job vacancies, which result also in the employees better reflecting the communities in the area they serve.
