Sainsburys have got the planning permission to expand their store on Victoria Road, Darlington, North Yorkshire.

Sainsbury’s have just been given planning permission to spend £18m expanding their Victoria Road, Darlington, North Yorkshire.
The project, which will see the available floor space virtually doubled, will create 120 job vacancies and see Sainsbury’s increase the size of its clothing and other non-food departments. There will also be a filling station, a mezzanine-level restaurant, and improved access and parking facilities.
The decision comes after months of campaigning and a public enquiry. Work is now expected to get underway shortly.
