Rolls-Royce, the engine maker, has created an additional 800 job vacancies in their Derby workplace from October 2010 to October 2011.
The company confirmed that some of the new vacancies have been filled from existing employees, but most of the new posts were filled with new apprentices and graduates.
During the past twelve months Rolls-Royce have received billions of pounds of orders and delivered its 1,000th Trent 700 engine.
