Last updated : 8 September 2012
Lenton’s Pizza Factory has announced that it is now training over two dozen new employees. The training will conclude at the end of this month wherein all of those being trained with gain new jobs within the company.
Lending a helping hand is JobCentre Plus. It is assisting the well known company in finding suitable candidates while the training is being conducted by the Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education. Nottingham Forest offered its facilities for free and the generosity was very much appreciated because the institute was finding it very hard to find a suitable locale to use. Over the next four weeks, the goal of the training programme is to get 100 people off unemployment assistance and back into the workforce.
Each person going through the one week training will earn a level 2 qualification in food hygiene, health & safety and environment & quality management. The programme is focused on putting every participant on the payroll at the well known eatery by the first of October. The Pizza Factory has been expanding due to rising demand which is why the many new jobs are being created. Politicians in Lenton are delighted that the Pizza Factory is offering this great opportunity as many people in that community have been without work due to the recession.
