Pets at Home Application Form
For all you animal lovers out there, here’s your perfect job! Providing care and attention to all the gorgeous animals who are seeking new homes can be such a rewarding job.
With over 300 stores across the UK, there are plenty of jobs to go around. Pets at Home have employees with all different types of backgrounds, but they all have a passion for animals and retail in common.
How to Apply
To apply at Pets at Home, you have two options. Either take in a copy of your CV along with a covering letter telling them a little bit about your background/experience and why you would like a job at Pets at Home. Or you can fill out their application form which you can get by asking in store, or from the internet. The application form shouldn’t take any longer than 15-20 minutes to complete, it’s just to get a better idea about each candidate.
Interview
If you’re successful at the application stage, you will be called in for an interview. The interview process at Pets at Home is in two stages, a group interview and a 1:1 interview. The group interview gives the interviewer a chance to see how well you work as part of a team, you will be asked to do some sort of group exercise (they will inform you about this on the day of your interview), usually with this, it doesn’t matter too much on what the outcome of the task is, just try to take leadership throughout the group if possible, involve yourself as much as possible. Your 1:1 interview will just be a way for the interviewer to find out a little more about your personality, they may ask more questions regarding your application form or CV. Try to be as positive as you can, it also helps if you have researched a bit about the company then you can ask questions towards the end.
Salary
The salary you are looking at for a store manager is between £26,660 and £35,547pa, for an assistant manager you’re looking at a salary between £16,467 and £18,053, and for a sales assistant, your salary is competitive, all depending on the store you’re working at.

December 20, 2014 at 6:14 pm #34618AnonymousGuestWorking at Pets at Home can be very helpful if you’re looking for a career in veterinary medicine, because you’re around all of the animals all day, and you will learn a lot about them and how to look after them. If you’re a student and you know that you want to be a vet at some point in the future, this is something that you should consider.
January 18, 2016 at 2:06 pm #34619AnonymousGuestDo all pets at home jobs require good animal handling? What if an applicant has an allergy to certain animals?
