Last updated : 17 October 2011
Opus Energy has stated that they will create 100 more vacancies in its Oxford and Northampton offices. It is expected that these roles will be varied across different sectors and that the majority of them will be filled by local people.
Currently, Opus Energy has 360 members in its workforce so this expansion is a large one. However, it is not unexpected, because the turnover for the company rose 31% in the last financial year. This has brought their turnover to just under £200 million.
Opus Energy is an independent supplier of energy who focuses their attention on business offices rather than residential properties. The company has some impressive accolades like the independent energy supplier of the year in 2010 from the Energy Excellence awards.
Furthermore, in October 2011, Opus Energy was recognised as one of the top 250 leading mid-market private companies in the UK.
