Next Home store and Dickinsons store are opening this week to provide 60 new jobs in Carlisle, Cumbria.
Next Home are due to open their doors on Thursday 13th September at 10:00am creating 40 new jobs at at the Kingstown Industrial Estate, next to Comet.
Next is giving away a chance to win £50 of shopping to their first 100 customers in the store in their Golden Ticket competion to celebrate the launch.
The store will sell furniture, decorating and home accessories, proposing to be open seven-days-a-week until 8pm Monday to Friday, 6pm on Saturdays and 5pm on Sundays.
Dickinsons’ Victoria Viaduct store will create 20 new jobs when they open their largest outlet for the northeast on Friday 14th September.
The store will take over the lease at Siesta House which was home to Chapmans furniture sotre for 165 years until it closed in March this year.
Mr Booth, former manager of Chapmans, has been appointed the store manager and is excited to head up the new team. He stated that he hopes the new arrivals of this furniture store will give a lift to the whole city.
Dickinsons offer a wide variety of quality designer fabrics, wallpapers and blinds.
