Last updated : 3 November 2012
Direct Save telecom has announced it will create around 120 new jobs in Watford over the next year.
The jobs expansion is a result of the telecoms company launching their best value phone and broadband package in the UK earlier this year. The deal offers customers broadband with free evening and weekend UK calls just £2.49 per month, plus line rental that is also 12% cheaper than main rivals BT.
The company, founded in 1995, said the full time positions will be based at its call centre providing customer care and sales. Direct Save Telecom, based at Gibbs Couch in Carpenders Park, currently has 52 staff. At a time when many UK companies are downsizing or closing, Direct Save’s staff levels will more than double in size. The new jobs will be full-time permanent positions based at Direct Save’s business centre for customer care, administration and sales.
Direct Save Telecom is committed to providing customers with UK based call centres, including 24/7 free phone broadband support. Despite the general economic downturn remaining challenging, the business has expanded significantly over the past 12 months and this increased workforce will help build further market share.
Recruitment will begin in January 2013 with the employment of eight new staff.
Brilliant news, lets hope their business is very successful, there seems to be so many companies offering broadband and calls as packages now, I’m not sure how much more competition there can be (other than on price, which then effects wages!)
