Last updated : 30 September 2014
I know that you have to have a medical test if you want to joined the armed forces. Does anyone know what they are looking for as it would be useful to know what to expect before applying. If my health is not good enough, there would seem to be no point in bothering to apply for a job in this area.
For the army you need to have fitness tests. There are different fitness requirements for different jobs which for the British Army are documented here – http://www.army.mod.uk/documents/general/ADSC_Fitness_Selection_Standards.pdf
There are less details about the medical test and certain health conditions may be a problem. It could be best to contact the army recruitment officer to ask about any specific conditions you have before applying for a role.
