With 2,000 pubs in the United Kingdom and two major ale producing brands, Marston is a company that thinks it can realistically create 1,000 additional roles over the next year.
The company announced a planned expansion of 19 pubs in 2012 with a further 25 per annum around the UK from 2013. The company says that is in the position to offer these positions because sales last year increased by 42%, which meant that profits increased to £80.8 million. This was mostly due to affordable meals and people enjoying the public house atmosphere for an evening meal.
