Last updated : 15 September 2012
Pride Park will be the home to a new call centre in Derby, with 100 jobs created as result.
Money Matters and Home2cover, both subsidiaries of the Carrington Carr group, selected the location following a careful search in a number of regions. A spokesman for Carrington Carr stated that Derby was an excellent choice due to its ideal location, good transport links to the group’s head office in Leicester and reputation for a quality and flexible workforce. The location decision followed a successful jobs fair at Pride Park that the company attended in 2011, where it met a number of qualified and experienced people.
The call centre, which will provide information and guidance to people who want to make claims for payment protection insurance mis-selling or who require insurance, will start recruiting for the 100 posts in the near future. It should open before the end of 2012.
Part of the company’s expansion lies in the huge increase in business around the mis-selling scandal of payment protection insurance. So far, Money Matters has secured £168 million of repayments on behalf of its customers.
A member of Derby City Council welcomed the new call centre to the area and applauded the quality of Derby’s workforce in attracting the investment.
