There are many reasons that you might want to turn down a job offer. The thing you should always remember is that declining a job offer should be proper and in a kind way.
You may always need to work with those people in the future so shutting the doors nicely will make sure that you can go back there again one day if you needed to.
It’s very ideal to respond as soon as you make a decision about it. That way will let the company to find somebody else quicker.
How to let them know about your rejection?
Call them as well as sending them a formal declining letter.
The letter should include folowings;
– The letter should be written in positive way
– Highlight your appreciation for their interest in your work and CV.
– Make sure that you mention that you would want to work with them in the future.
– Your reason-s shouldn’t be negative for rejecting the job offer.
– Don’t forget to write that you regret having to decline the job offer.
– You can also tell them that you would be happy to work with them in the future one day in your letter.

We have to be really careful in our choice of words these managers are used to rejecting people but not used to rejected by people. Your reasons must be straight forward and not looking fake. If you can be politely honest, maybe you can let them know that it’s not the salary or job duties that you are expecting for. You should always thank them first for their interest in hiring you and hinting that there’ll be a future chances for you to work together with them. Do not drag the process as they might have other people waiting for the job.
The key with this is to be very polite and apologetic. Don’t step on toes, because there is a chance that one day, you may come across these people again. Never ever insult or offend the person offering the job. They have been good enough to put you top of their list, and you should return the favour when declining!
