How to get notice when applying for a job?

I went for an interview recently and they have more than 10 candidates waiting to get interviewed for the job. I know that if I don’t stand out from the rest, they would not remember me at all after the interview. How can I get them notice me appropriately without annoying the interviewers? A friend suggested me to make my resume unusually bigger than A4 size so that they have to put them on the table and not in the drawer.
