You have to provide 5 years checkable history when you want to work at an Airport in the UK so remember this before applying for an Airport job.

To whom it may concern;
Confirmation of Self Employment for Airside Pass required by 30th January 2014 [put your own date]
I have just accepted a job at the Airport and have been asked to provide confirmation of my employment status for the past five years. Since [date] I have been self-employed but have not been working with an accountant. The referencing agency has therefore requested confirmation from you that I have been self-employed from [date] to date before [date].
I would be grateful if you could write to me confirming that I have been registered self-employed from [date] to date. Can you also please send a copy of this letter to:
[Address of referencing company]
Many thanks in advance for your assistance in this matter.
Yours sincerely,

That is a brilliant letter as of course HMRC can confirm the status as taxes would have been paid
