Debenhams create 50 jobs in Carlisle

Debenhams will be refurbishing their Carlisle store in Spring 2012 as part of their refurbishment and modernisation programme which they are rolling out across 45 of their UK stores.

Once the works are complete the store, located at The Lanes, Carlisle, Cumbria will display new designer brands and create 50 new full-time and part-time job vacancies.

Despite the economic downturn Debenhams have recently announced a 10% increase on profits for the year just ended, which has assisted in the reinvestment to modernise many stores including this Carlisle department store which opened just 11 years ago.
