Last updated : 13 September 2012
Electrical retailer brings 30 new jobs to Tralee.
Currys and PC World will create up to 30 new jobs when they move into a 10,000 sq ft site on the Manor West Retail Park in Tralee in County Kerry.
The move also means that all of the units in the retail park will be full, to the delight of its general manager. He stated that it was good news that new jobs were coming to the area, that such a large company was investing in Tralee and that the full occupancy was a ‘bucking of the trend’. These sentiments were reinforced by a spokesperson for the Tralee Chamber Alliance, who indicated that the move would encourage people to shop in and visit the town and give local people more confidence in the area.
PC World and Currys have 28 stores in Northern Ireland and is the country’s biggest electrical retailer.
Brilliant news. I wonder if any of the Ex Comet employees have applied and been successful with Currys/PC World. It would be good if they had, as they already have the experience and wouldnt need much retraining
