Last updated : 16 September 2012
Following news that Center Parcs will open its fifth resort in Millbrook in 2013, the company will soon announce the creation of 1,500 jobs as a result. An additional 1,200 people have already gained employment as a result of the construction phase of the project and the other 1,500 jobs will be available when the resort opens.
The holiday company will provide information on 18 September to the public on its plans to employ 1,500 local people and set up supply arrangements with local businesses. A company spokesman said that its plans in the area had taken a long time to come to fruition but that Center Parcs is pleased that it can now start to action its plans.
The event, which will take place in Flitwick throughout the day, will let anyone who is interested what is happening, how it will be done and how long it will take. The information day will also give attendees the chance to meet the company’s Chief Executive, Martin Dalby.
The jobs bonanza is expected to include a wide variety of roles, including maintenance staff and customer facing posts, and the company is aiming to recruit as many local people as possible.
