Following on from the rather shocking news that Focus DIY would have to cease trading, B&Q have purchased 31 of their shops and plan to open the new developments soon with the intention of offering existing staff their jobs.
The administrators Ernst & Young struck a deal with The Kingfisher Group for roughly £23 million. A representative for the administrators said that they would keep searching for additional Focus DIY store buyers that have not been sold.
