Last updated : 28 September 2012
Supermarket brings 50 jobs on Anglesey.
50 new jobs will be created when Asda opens a new home delivery service at its Llangefni store on Anglesey.
As the service is scheduled to start in November, a recruitment programme for service assistants, personal shoppers and drivers is being launched now. The company is confident that the vacancies will prompt a good response from local job seekers and is encouraging people from all backgrounds and with all types of experience to apply.
Those who are interested should check for details at the store or visit the careers section of Asda’s website.
The store’s manager said that he was very pleased that the company was bringing additional employment opportunities and shopping choices to the area. He added that the local community was very important to the store and that all of the staff were excited by the prospect of attracting new customers and meeting new colleagues.
Llangefni’s mayor stated that, while he welcomed the investment by Asda in the town, he hoped that other businesses in the area would not be adversely affected and that both the supermarket and the small retailers in the area would prosper.
The store’s home shopping service starts on 8 November.
