Last updated : 6 November 2012
Jobseekers are invited to a recruitment open day to find out more about job opportunities being created at the new Aldi store in Killamarsh.
Dozens of new jobs are up for grabs at the new store – including management, store assistant, cleaner and caretaker positions.
People can find out more about these opportunities at an open day being held on Tuesday 6 November, running from 11am to 6pm at Westthorpe Business Innovation Centre in Killamarsh.
Interviews have been guaranteed for local unemployed people as part of North East Derbyshire District Council’s Working Communities Project, and the recruitment drive is being run in partnership with Chesterfield College, JobCentre Plus and the Coalfields Regeneration Trust.
The store is being created as part of the refurbishment of the Parkside Shopping Centre, and is due to open in March 2013.
People are asked to bring along an up-to-date CV to the open day.
People can also find out about free security training which is on offer to residents in Grassmoor, Killamarsh and Holmewood. The SIA training course would help those considering a job in security guarding, door supervision, stewarding or CCTV.
A SIA drop-in event is running from 10am to noon at Westthorpe Business Innovation Centre in Killamarsh, ahead of the Aldi recruitment event.
This sounds good! I really hope that lots of people turned up and that they were certainly interested (and were not just turning up as if they didnt their benefits would be stopped) – hopefully plenty of people now have jobs that didnt before
