Motorsports development could deliver 6,000 jobs in Blaenau Gwent
6,000 new jobs are set to be welcomed to Blaenau Gwent. This is due to the biggest investment in motor sports infrastructure in half a century across the UK. This potential investment amount is £250 million, and this will allow the development of a huge site next to the Rassau Industrial Estate.
It is believed that planning for the site will be submitted next month. These plans include a three and a half-mile racetrack that could host sporting events like World Motocross and Touring Car races. The development would also bring in a technology park to research the automotive and motor sports sectors. As well as the 6,000 jobs created on site, it is believed that an additional 3,000 part time construction job will be created.
