Work History
January 2010 – Present
Baggage Handler, Heathrow Airport, London
Working for this large airport as a baggage handler it was my duty to load and unload planes as they arrived into the airport. I would have to climb into the hold, and place baggage onto the baggage conveyor. Sometimes I would have to work with colleagues to move larger or bulkier object. I would then wait for the baggage to go onto the plane and load that from the conveyor in an organised fashion for safety and convenience for my colleagues around the world.
January 2008- January 2010
Baggage Handler, Gatwick Airport, London.
I worked for this large and busy international airport as a ground baggage handler, which meant I was responsible for loading of bags when they came through the check in area, onto the conveyor so that they reached the right loading point for the flight they were booked on. Attention to detail was essential otherwise a passenger may be separated from their luggage.
January 2007 – January 2008
Baggage Handler, Stansted Airport, London
Working for this bustling and busy airport as a baggage handler saw me learn how to be a baggage handler. I was responsible for loading the carosel for people to collect their baggage after their flight. I had to learn all about flight codes and baggage tag symbols, and working to deadlines.
