If you are looking for a position as an Accounting Clerk then you will have had previous experience in working in an accounts department. You will usually do a variety of tasks in this role such as balancing accounts, dealing with invoices, petty cash etc and you may wish to do some accounting qualifications and progress your career from this role.
You will need to be very organised and efficient to do this role well and have a good head for figures. You will need to be able to demonstrate this at your interview so it is important to make sure you know exactly what the position entails and then you can match it to your CV and see what areas you are missing or if none what you would like to learn in the future.
Your interviewer will be keen to know how well you work on your own initiative and whether you are able to concentrate on figures for long periods of time and also how well you work in a team as you will usually work in a team with at least one other person depending on the size of the company.
