The biggest employer in the South East of England, Stansted Airport employing more than 10,000 staff, is holding an employment fair showcasing 100 different jobs on Thursday November 8th 2012.
The free job fair will provide information on 100 vacancies across the airport and companies attending include Dixons, The Body Shop, Yo! Sushi, Gourmet Hotdog, Crepe Affaire, restaurant group – TRG and Premier Inn.
The event is being organised by Stansted Employment and Skills Academy following two other successful fairs held earlier in the year in April and June where approximately 500 job seekers attended. Similar numbers are expected this week.
Jobseekers will be able to meet current employers face-to-face to receive information about the vacancies, application process and training or more broad careers advice.
Despite the current economic crisis, Stansted Airport has continued to provide new and exciting career prospects and training for a vast number of people. The airport is an important employer in the local area and the Airport’s Employment and Training Academy helps people to obtain the skills and training required.

The airport also operates one of the largest employee car share scheme in Europe.

Stansted Airport seems to be a great place to work. Not as large as Heathrow and Gatwick, but still a big employer. I went along to the employment fair to see what was on offer. I would love to work in the Airport, so I left my CV and letters with the various employers and hopefully I will hear something soon. I’m not sure when the closing date was so it’s a bit of a waiting game now
