Job seekers in the Wakefield area are being urged to register before 1 October for a place within a new employment initiative designed to bring together employers and people looking for work.
The programme, which is designed primarily for those between the ages of 18 and 25, operates on a limited place basis and slots with preferred employers are filling quickly. Those who are interested should log on to www.wakefieldworks.co.uk to see which companies are taking part and get advice on how to register and benefit from the initiative.
Each company that is taking part is guaranteeing at least one week’s work experience to the best candidate they talk to on 4 October and some of them will be offering apprenticeships and discussing potential jobs in the future.
