Work History
January 2010 – Present
Midwife, Big Hospital, London
Working for this large inner city hospital as a Midwife it was my duty to attend to women in labour. I would have to ensure that all the women in my care were kept safe and their babies delivered without any problems. Although most were straightforward births requiring little intervention, I specialised in caesarean assistance whilst working in this post, which meant assisting the surgeons in an operating room, to ensure that patient and child were both doing well, and then advising the patient on aftercare.
January 2008- January 2010
Midwife, Stupa, London.
I worked for this large private hospital as a midwife. My main duty was to ensure that all new mothers and their new-borns were well cared for. I would have to assess each mother as she arrived, monitor her, and then assist with the birth were requested. I was in charge of the water birthing pool, and had to be present when that was in use.
January 2007 – January 2008
Midwife, NHS little unit, London
Working for this small community hospital it was my duty to ensure that all mothers to be were well informed before the birth of their children, and that the baby was developing properly both before and after birth. Although this wasn’t a hands on delivery role, it provided me huge amounts of experience.
